Dual-boot Win7& Ubuntu 13.04 -- Add to Active Directory on Ubuntu side?
I just installed Ubuntu 13.04 along side my Windows 7 installation on a Dell Precision M4600 laptop. My Windows 7 install is currently setup on our Active Directory system. I would like to add the Ubuntu install to the Active Directory system.
I've downloaded and tried to use Likewise, but when I go to enter the credentials, I receive an error: ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED. My boss has added the Ubuntu computer (device) name to our Active Directory -- I just can't figure out how to actually login under Active Directory from Ubuntu.
To reiterate: I am (as a user) currently on the Active Directory system with my Windows 7 installation. I would like to access (i.e., Log in) with my Ubuntu installation. I am receiving an error when trying to join the domain using Likewise.
I've tried command line and the GUI, both resulting in the error: access denied.
I'm a newbie Linux/Ubuntu user, but trying to please. I appreciate any guidance offered!
